Deadline for submitting entries is June 30.

Entries postmarked AFTER June 30 will NOT be considered for the current year’s Awards Program.

No entry fee is charged and anyone may submit an entry or an award nomination.

Membership in the North Carolina Society of Historians is NOT required to make a nomination, submit an entry,  or to receive an award.  We do, however, welcome the support of new members.

When sending material, submit ONE (1) copy of the published work.  All nominated books, articles, newsletters, videos, and other published material must be original works.

Entries must be accompanied by the appropriate and completed Entry Form.

Entries will NOT be returned; therefore do NOT submit your only copy!

Award Nominations may be made by persons other than the originator of the work, but those nominations must be accompanied by the appropriate and completed ENTRY FORM(S).

To submit an unpublished manuscript or previously published work, send ONLY a description to the president of NCSH to determine the work’s eligibility before mailing the work.

Award winners will be notified on or before September 30.

Awards are presented at the Awards Celebration held later in the fall.
